Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred's New Spiritborn Class is Coming Tomorrow

Diablo 4's upcoming Vessel of Hatred DLC is slated for release at the beginning of October, and one of the most exciting updates is with the Spiritborn class. A brand-new class to the franchise, the Spiritborn brings a fresh character type for Diablo 4 players to experience.

Spiritborn Class

At the moment, there isn't much known about the Spiritborn. Local to the location of Nahantu, also introduced in Vessel of Hatred, the Spiritborn are highly skilled warriors living within its jungles. There will be even more revealed about the mysterious class on July 18, showcasing what players can look forward to when the DLC launches on October 8. Although speculation surrounding this class is exciting, it may also present Diablo 4 with an uphill battle when trying to outdo the Spiritborn in whatever the next DLC after Vessel of Hatred happens to be.

In other words, it's brand-new for Diablo, which is exciting for a number of reasons, not least of which is the fact Diablo 4 has the highest production quality of any game in the series, and certainly compared to the rest of the ARPG genre

Last month, Blizzard dropped the opening cinematic for Vessel of Hatred at the Xbox Showcase and confirmed an October 8 launch. Well, we're now over halfway through July, and Blizzard has said when, exactly, we can expect to see the new class in action.

This Thursday, July 18, the show kicks off at 11 am PT, 2 pm ET, and 7 pm UK. This special showcase will be hosted by community director Adam Fletcher, and feature a cast of Vessel of Hatred developers.

The list includes game director Brent Gibson, associate narrative designer Eleni Rivera-Colon, art director Nick Chilano, and game designer Bjorn Mikkelson. Blizzard said we can expect a look at gameplay, as well as fresh insight into the Spiritborn’s story and design.

Following the reveal, the team will take a few questions from the community watching live. If you're in doubt, don't miss the opportunity to strengthen your character.
