Diablo 4 Season 5: classic enemies return

Diablo 4 is about to usher in a new chapter, it has just unveiled thrilling new footage of the Fell Council, a formidable group of bosses making their comeback from the iconic Diablo 2. These nostalgic elements are also familiar to players.

As Diablo 4 gears up for its fifth season, the game will reintroduce some well-known characters from past titles, much to the delight of veteran players. Among the returning faces is Ashava the Pestilent, a giant demon previously encountered in Diablo Immortal, who wields massive blades that can wreak havoc. Another familiar name is Lyndon the Scoundrel, a beloved NPC from Diablo 3's Reaper of Souls expansion, now making an appearance in Diablo 4. Let's not forget Butcher, a nightmarish demon that players remember from Diablo, Diablo 3, and Diablo Immortal. These nostalgic returns are set to enrich the gameplay experience and deepen the connection to the series' storied past.

The menacing Fell Council

During the recent Campfire Chat broadcast on August 1, Diablo 4 showcased the menacing Fell Council, composed of Geleb the Flame, Bremm the Maelstrom, Wyand the Shadow, Maffer the Cruel, and Ismael the Accursed. These formidable bosses will headline the new Infernal Hordes mode in Season 5. In this mode, players will face waves of enemies, with three random members of the Fell Council appearing for a climactic battle. With 10 possible variations for these encounters, Diablo 4 promises a dynamic and ever-changing boss fight experience.

Unlock Exclusive Rewards 

Defeating the Fell Council will earn players Burning Aether, a new currency in Diablo 4. This valuable resource can be used to purchase Spoils of Hell chests, which contain Legendary and Unique items, Summoning Materials, and Gold.
