Favor Tokens, Platinum, and the New Battle Pass Flexibility


One of the most welcome changes in Diablo 4 Season 8 is the overhaul of the battle pass system. Previously, players had to unlock rewards in a fixed order, which often felt rigid and unrewarding. That’s changing now, with Blizzard introducing Favor Tokens and Platinum as part of a more flexible progression structure Diablo 4 Boosting.

Favor Tokens can be used to unlock any reward in any order, letting players prioritize cosmetics, boosters, or even unique event items as they see fit. For players who complete the free battle pass early, additional bundles and Reliquaries can be unlocked using these new currencies.

This level of customization is a breath of fresh air in the live-service model. It allows casual and hardcore players alike to engage with the content in a way that suits their playstyle, making seasonal grinds feel more like personal progression rather than checklist chores.

Combined with the Berserk content, this battle pass system encourages players to experiment with different builds, rewards, and classes. It’s a design decision that could set a new standard not only for Diablo 4 but for ARPGs as a whole Diablo 4 Items.
